People are squeaking about loosing RAW capability with the demise of aperture, but they are forgetting that RAW capability is built into OSX - it's not part of an application.
Cant stand Lightroom.... awful software. Will stick with Aperture for as long as it works which I guess will be a good few years yet.
I can very well imagine the panic of someone that has been storing the files as part of the Aperture library instead of using referenced files. Forget iPhoto for the same reason. Gives me chills just thinking about it. A lifetime of work wrapped up in a proprietary database that's about to be abandoned by the developer. When I used Aperture regularly, I always referenced files in my tried and true directory structure.
