No time

I'm still in the land of the living but my interest in RFF is waning. The _goals I've set myself_ are taking up some of my time, as is my family. Preparing for my upcoming trip takes up what is left of my free time. And now my dad is demanding my time too. _My father was rushed to hospital_ yesterday with a ruptured abdominal artery. He's not well, though he seems to fight back strongly.

Time is in short supply for me these days, and my internet use is "suffering" from it. That's not so bad as it prevents GAS. 🙂

I'll be dropping in once in a while.

Regards.

Sorry to hear about your situation. I hope your father makes a strong recovery and that you manage to find the right work/family/leisure balance for you. Sometimes life turns one way or another and we need to go with that for a while. Keep dropping in - I like your work and many other here do too.

The internet is unimportant, ok, RFF less so 🙂

Take your time for whatever is realy important and if you find a minute or two once in a while to share with us, we're happy and thankfull.

All the best to you and your family and may your father get well soon.

Remy: I echo the best wishes for your father. Setting the objectives as you describe in your blog is wonderful! That is a far higher priority than visiting RFF, though the community values your presence, of course.

FWIW, the goal-setting is something I've known for awhile that I need to do for myself; thanks for the nudge.

Very sorry for your situation. Of course sometimes we have to establish priorities. In this case for you real life and taking care of your father. Hope he will be ok and you manage the situation. What you wrote and the picture with your father in your blog are real meaning something. Best wishes to you and all your family.

I know how you must have felt that morning. I'm happy to hear he's getting better by the second. Give him my best.

"Three cheers to the ambulance personel, the surgical team, the IC personel and everyone else who helped save my dad's life!"

Thanks, people. Too bad he relapsed last night after doing so well yesterday. We (and especially my dad) will have to take things a step at a time. This really sucks and there's nothing to hold on to. His situation can go either way.

About the goals, they give direction and some meaning to my life. And now that I've set myself some goals, I find that I'm thinking up new goals almost every week. One of those new goals is to stay in more regular touch with relatives and friends. A goal that was on my mind before my father's situation but became very poignant after he fell ill. It seems life has a way of presenting itself. 🙂

OK, I'm off again to give more direction to my life. I have to shoot some Nat Geo pics. 😛
