Noctilux Photos

Oh well, I gave up on my year long Nocti order yesterday. Decided after all that time waiting I'd be just as happy with a good scanner and a new lens for my Mamiya 7ii. I'm loving the Fuji 1600 colour neg these days and a Nocti would be great but think I'm better off investing my money in something that will actually arrive before I pass away. Perhaps Leica will release a new version one day that isn't as involved to make. At least then the overall prices will drop.

But why don't you buy one on ebay or even in the FS section right here? They are cheaper then new, too!

Yeah, I've thought about that but at the end of the day, after all that waiting, I suppose I've reached the conclusion that I don't need it. I would really like one though!

God I wish I could post more!
I had to give the lens back this morning.

I don't think I have ever wanted one this bad before...

Nice Carl. maddoc, did you get yours yet?
Carl, I can understand you ...

Hi Mike, I received it yesterday night, mounted it on my M4-P, and ... have to work now :bang: Hopefully, hopefully this night I will have time for taking some photos with the Noct. !! :)

Cheers,

maddoc

I just can't figure out how I can justify the cost of that lens, I don't think it's possible.

Oh Well...

Well ... the only way for me was to sell some other gear (MP, Summilux 50mm pre-ASPH). M4-P takes photos as the MP does ... ;)

night is perfect with the Noctilux

night is perfect with the Noctilux

first and second rolls with my noctilux were at night.

The noctilux is excellent for night photos - here's one of a completely dark alley that comes to mind, it was so dark, I wished I had a flashlight, yet opened up a bit, it looks like it was taken in the afternoon! The Noctilux is capable of altering the time-space continuum...

It all makes me cry to think that when I put in an order for one last year I was told it would cost me amost half that

One day I might own one, just not until I'm a very old man.

If you really really want that lens you should go for it.... I have shot half a roll with it now and really keen to see the results ... :)
