Noctilux Photos

Tomasis,

On the RD1s, using the Noct, it slows me down a bit because of the short range finder base of th RD .. I have to be pretty spot on with the focus otherwise I get focussing errors. It's not the easiest of lens because in the range that I shoot, 1-3 metres ... I have a lot of travel in the focus ring. Shooting street where time is the essence ... it is a big hill to climb. But the results I get when I'm lucky enough to get it all right keeps me shooting it. Another thing I which bugs me is the 50mm becomes a 75mm on the RD .. but that is not such a big deal. :)

my other street shooting lenses (35cron / 35 lux) are a joy to use due to its usability.

btw: Prosaic : those nocts shots are beautiful!!

maddoc, don't tell me it is because developer, hehe.. Prosaic's images show also how nocti is good at that ;)

anhtu, what wonderful images. The first picture I like most of all. Luckily it was Trix film, not a digital so I'd love enlarge this up at 30x40 :)

How easy/difficult is to focus Nocti on Rd1?

Epson RD1s/Noctilux

- I find the Noctilux is a bit cumbersome for street shooting, yet I still I use it :)

These are just great! Inspiring me to achieve a similar look.

Seeing some of these last shots makes me much more interested in getting one! Looks like a great tool if its used right... just like everything else Leica makes...

i tought we no longer say Saigon but Ho Chi Minh town?! Great stuff in your shots! I thought the last shot was made in Hanoi, it looks the same!

Stop it NOW!

Stop it NOW!

Stop it, you guys. With every picture posted I want one of these more and more. But I just bought a house and all my spare change is going into that right now.

Okay, let's see some more. :p

Some people are saying the Noctilux is believed to be a good lens because it's expensive but if it had a Voigtlander Logo on it, it would be seen as a bad lens.

Hm, yeah right. I mean "Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh rrrrrrrrrrright!" Do you hear me laughing out loud? I just woke up my wife.

Thanks to the Noctilux, I entered the Louvre with Velvia 50 loaded and never missed a beat. Sharp shots and all.

Did I just hear bubbles burst around the Globe? Hooo, I'm sooo sorry (not).
