Nokton 35mm 1.2

Andrew, you might try the website of Leica expert Erwin Puts, who includes some reviews of non-Leica reangefinder lenses. He does review the Voigtlander 35/1.2 Nokton. See his "Voigtlander and Konica" section. You can compare it to his comments about the Leica Noctilux.

I just bought one few days ago for my M8 and its front focus about 2 inches. Disappear at f4 but one weird thing is that my 50 Summicron focus correctly at f2 so maybe its the lens fault???

Had mine 2 weeks now... using on an M43 body but I absolutely love it!! No focus issues (not sure how you could have any with MF)
You could have focus issues if your rangefinder tells you that the lens is in focus when it isn't. Loads of stuff about this problem on the forum, for example with the Zeiss ZM Sonnar 50mm f1.5.

Guys...I went to the Hara Museum yesterday to see the Eggleston exhibition. Brilliant stuff. After my viewing, I stopped by in the museum shop and picked up a DVD of Reiner Holzemer's film on the man. You can see a trailer here.

You might notice that Eggleston is carrying a Leica, but also that the lens appears to be a Nokton 35/1.2. Here are a couple of screengrabs I took.

OK, not quite so clear, but it sure looks like a Nokton to me!

Look at the "Everyday Egypt" gallery on my website. All the color photos are from a CV 35/1.2 and an Epson R-D1s.
