Nokton 50/1.5 photos with RD1s

What would a new lens be without testing it on the cat :)

Looks like a great combination (R-D1 and lens that is).

Cheers,

John

Hi Andy

Hi Andy

I love this lens. Have had it a couple of months, it's possibly a keeper.

As I've mentioned earlier, it doesn't have the overall color accuracy or consistency of say a Cron Asph or 75/1.4 lux, but of the 7 or so CV lenses I have or have owned, this is one of the nicest.

In some cases there can also be some purple fringing visible, but overall is very flare resistant, and the best bokeh of any CV lens I've used so far wide open (I haven't owned or used the 35/1.2 extensively yet).

How do you like the lens?

Yup, I like it too, it's pretty much standard kit lens for my RD1, along with the 28 and 15mm ones. I actually like to use it more than the 50 lux (that I sold) since my Nokton seems to turn smoother than the lux and it doesn't have that pesky focusing knob. Of course, now I am having an affair with the 50/.95 Canon on the RD1, very exciting to see like a cat :)
