Hey fellow evil's :)

I been using a 5d mkii for a couple weeks and finally picked up an adapter to mount the Nikkor's Ive have laying around the camera shelf. So ive been searching for the answer to my question but I am coming up short getting anything definitive.

Basically, I just want to know whether I can mount a Non AI lenses onto the 5d. I know AF-D. AI and AIS are good to go but I am very weary about something horribly wrong (though I readily admit I may well be over thinking and too cautious). Actually, Ive never used cross mount adapters for any camera before which may be exacerbating my nervousness

I only have one non ai lens but Id love to use it:

35mm Nikkor-S Auto f/2.8.

Anyone have any idea if I can mount it via the adapter? How would one tell if it won't mount (the back part of the lens doesn't look like it protrudes too deep). Do some non ai's mount and others not? How does one tell the difference???

THANKS A TON for any help!

If you're mounting it via the adapter just mount, I've try quite a few from non-AI to AIS, no problem. Screw it on the adapter first and gently put it on the camera, if there's any resistance (which I dont think there will be) stop.
