Northern Tier of PA / Southern Tier of NY??

I'm a little north of the Southern Tier but do get down that way some. My Folks live in Binghamton.

Steam Town is a national park dedicated to steam trains. I've not been there but I've been thinking about possibly going this summer.

And I have a brother living in NJ; the last time I drove to see him, I noticed a wind farm on the ridge of some valley we drove through on 81, I couldn't stop for photos and the people I was traveling with are hopeless with cameras.

I'm in Rochester, southern tier isn't that far away but it depends on how far east you're talking about. I should do a southern tier trip this spring ... just need to avoid the nooks and crannies where I hear Dueling Banjoes...

Steamtown is a railroad heritage site in Scranton PA that runs two old Canadian Steam engines. In addtion, they have a bunch of railroad equipment in the old railyard.
 
Brad, I fish on the Pine, in the spring and drive down thru the Southern Tier to PA and then across the 6 to just east of Galeton then south to Williamsboro to Slate Run.

I know your area, great for people who like the outdoors.

Earl... you just gave me the best chuckle I've had in a long time here at RFF.. I use a microscope for my fish... makes even the bait look whale sized ! 😀

Brad, I'll probably head down sometime in May or June. I have a friend down that way and we fish around his place near Slate Run.

If I had time I'd love to fish for an afternoon/early evening enroute. I'll let you know if when I'm passing thru. I didn't make it last year. Hope to this year.


PS nice fish, what size rod... 7' 4 wt?
