Not The Ashes Tour ...

Swann could be very dangerous in Perth ... the extra bounce will suit him ... and the six foot eight Finn.

Shame about Broad ... such a nice peaches and cream Britishness there ... almost the Princess Diana of world cricket! :p

Anyway ... no need to get bored waiting for the next Ashes test to start because Oprah's in town and she's brought (bought?) her own audience ... all 300 of them!

Is there no end to this woman's excesses? ... and why the **** do we need her here? :bang:

There is a strong rumour circulating that about half the Pommy team will be staying on in Australia after the tour, as economic refugees, their economy being up the proverbial creek. The other half of the team will be returning to S.Africa........ I sufferred through the English domination with the bat at Adelaide Oval on Saturday and Sunday. The "Balmy Army" definitely should have been evicted in my honest opinion.....for bad singing. Actually they seem a great bunch and always have a good time whether they're winning or losing. Back to the drawing board for the Aussies.

Lovely pic Stewart! :)

Thank you, Im thinking of a project called "Local Cricket; A Very Peculiar Practice" documenting a year in the life of one of one of the local clubs

Yes Broad is a real shame, he deserves to get a go ... still Panesar may get a game now :D

got beer, got sunshine, got a sunday arvo to waste in a green park
not much more to understand really :)

Yes a lot of folk don't have the benefit of 4 pints best bitter in the bar at the Canterbury Road end when watching the game :)

Being from the "New World" I had been struggling with understanding the game. Thanks for that succinct but clear explanation. Now I enjoy much better. It was all so confusing before. :D :D

Me too. And here I thought it was a game difficult to understand. Silly me. :p

Harry

Yep ... captain gone for twelve and the vice captain for four!

Storming start alright! :D

Well at least Johnson played well for a number 8 to get the highest score. I thought he was there for his bowling. :D

I think Johnson's going to keep wicket while Brad Hadden has a bowl tomorrow ...

I heard on the radio tonight that a betting agency in Oz paid out this morning before play started to people who had bet on an England series win.

I heard that too. $400000 Aus. I rekon there must be some kind of fever down there when bookies pay out before they have to.

The Ashes series played between Australia and England since 1882. Ashes known as battle of pride for England and Australia. England regain the Ashes defeated Australia 3-1 in 5 Test match series in year 2010. This is the first ever Ashes series lost by Australia at home since 1986.
