This morning, I was getting ready to change the film in my M4-P and noticed, upon opening a fuji film canister that the IXMOO I loaded with Tech-pan had severe water damage with wet mushy emulsion totally jamming the cassette. GAAAHHH, what a mess. Thankfully it was unexposed.
I usually carry my camera with the film canister attached to the neck strap and I don't hesitate to shoot in crappy weather; but this is the first time in 30 yrs shooting that I've experienced water damaged film! A first for everything.
Cleaned the IXMOO out, but noticed the water removed a lot of the blacking and the brass is really shining through. Any suggestions on restoring the blacking?
