I've just taken delivery of a Nova Print Processor, (thank you ebay!) which is great news because it means I'll be able to move my darkroom from my parent's house into our diminutive spare room.
I was wondering if anybody has used one of these before, and if they have any tips. It's the 10x8, 3 slot, "monochrome" version.
Thanks!

I've got an older model of the larger 11x14 version. A few tips:
-- If yours has a water jacket, be sure to add a little bleach to the water per the instructions, to keep mold from growing in the water.
-- Check the security of the drain cocks -- it's possible for them to slip out, and then you've really got a mess. Also, some of them leak, so you may want to keep some folded-up paper towels under them until you're sure that yours don't.
-- You'll never be able to get the slots totally clean after you've used the unit for a while, but don't worry about it.

I have 2 of them. 16x20, heated 3 slot and a 8x10 3 slot "POD" model. Best thing since sliced bread.
As far as cleaning, I used denture cleaner left inside it overnight. Drain, repeat processs, then bleach. Clean as a whistle.
....oh yah, stir it up good before you use it.

Superb kit. Check my web-site (www.rogerandfrances.com) for a picture of one built into the bench in our latest darkroom. Cut a hole; just the top of the tank protrudes.
Baby bottle sterilizer tablets keep the water jackets slime free. But I've never felt a need to stir the slots before using them. Just printing gives enough agitation: use a churning movement, rotating the clip (in the plane of the paper) in a circle about 2 inches/50mm on diameter.
Cheers,
Roger

Really good bit of kit. When filling it up, do not fill each slot in one go. Add roughly a quarter of the total in each slot and repeat untill full. The same applies when draining. This stops excessive strain on the unit.
Spares are readily available from www.novadarkroom.com. such as taps etc.
Happy printing!
