I went to the Novoflex website to find out if they manufacture a lens adapter for the Contax G lenses. If you read the English version, no mention of the adapter; BUT if you switch to the German version and scroll down, an adapter does exist! I met the local Novoflex sales rep and he initially said it does not exist. When I told him to look at the German version of Novoflex's product listing, he found this lens adapter. He said it would be a special order placed thru my local camera retailer. A mount is available for either the Sony NEX or the Fuji X mounts. It's not cheap, I guess around $200. My German is rusty, and my translation may not be exact, I think the mount does not carry the Novoflex brand name and is not manufactured by Novoflex. If it's built to Novoflex's specs, ala the Japanese made G lenses, it's got to be great.

Judging by the manufacturer's codes, they're most likely to be made by Kipon.

They seem to be available on eBay from various sources. I see that there's one for the externally mounted Zeiss Ikon bayonet, too. I've just got my Amedeo adaptor that allows me to use internally-focussing Zeiss lenses, and together with the Fujifilm M mount it works quite well. There's a slight problem with focussing, as I have a collapsible 5cm f2 Sonnar (the barrel turns until it catches against the stops), but the results are, so far, rather pleasing. The nickel 5cm Sonnar can't be used as the front element is badly scratched. I would like to get hold of one to go with my Contax I (f), so if anyone has one for sale…

Here's the link to eBay.

Thanks Nick. You confirmed my suspicion the mount is made by Kipon. The Kipon mounts are substantially less expensive than the Novoflex website list of 169 Euros (about $228 on this side of the pond). I wonder if the two are identical or in fact different. The Duo TechArt Contax G adapters, made in China(?), retain all the auto features of the lens but are over $300 (about 225 euros). Thanks for the UK ebay link.
