Hi all,
After three tries I finally got my prints developed good
enough to so you guy's how my Nikon S2 is working. With
this combo (35mm f2.5) I think I got rid of the guest to
get another Leica, I'm happy with the S2. Maybe there's
a S3 in my future????

Enjoy Life.
The S2 is a very nice camera, especially with a 50mm for me. Enjoy that 1:1 finder which lets you keep both eyes open during shooting.

The 3.5cm f2.5 is a nice little lens. Shot and scanned my first roll this weekend and the only shock I had was this one frame with sharp centre and extremely soft corners. I later found out that the negative was not loaded properly on the film holder during the scan - causing the soft corners. Otherwise on a ISO100 film scanned at 5400dpi, the picture was sharp as hell all the way into the corners.
Recently I've shot more with an S2 than any of my Leicas. No intention to change that with the 3.5cm and the new Voigtlander 35mm brightline viewfinder.

Yes, It truly is sharp, I was surprised as well at times it's like looking thru
a window.

Thanks Eric, I'm really enjoying the camera so much so that I sold
my Olympus and Minolta stuff I got to replace the Leica I sold
awhile back. I'm just enjoying the Rangefinder again.

My M5s need red dots!
Those pesky Nikon rangefinders have a way to ingratiate themselves with the most rabid Leica fan... I just took mine to Spain, where I stayed for 6 weeks (with a group of students). It was a heck of a lot more fun to use than my D700 (and a lot lighter too!).

It's true, after using Leica for years I got the Nikon it took
a while to get used to it but now that I am I like it, and now
I'm test driving a Voightlander 25mmf4 lens my widest ever
in using Rangefinders this should be good.
