New York NYC August Meet-Up

what the ****?

These $600.00 shoes are pretty amazing, pretty much works of art. The shoes are kinda pointy toed grey "Oxfords" that are Italian made. The leather cutouts are all intricately laser engraved.

When I took a course at FIT my professor asked me to wear one of my Paul Smith suits to the last class. Anyways this beautiful girl with smokey grey eyes (unbelievably hot) told me that, "You look like an Asian version of James Bond." LOL.

While most designers create suits for men with 7 inch differentials between their chest and waist, Paul Smith makes suits for lanky guys with eight inch "drops" and even guys with 9 inch drops. The only other designer I found that does this is Prada.

I think for Fashion Night Out I'll wear my "Runway Pants" that are skinny legged and are kinda shinny. My stylist (girlfriend) does not care for these pants so much and says that I look too much like a strung out Heroin addict and too much like Keith Richards. LOL. Meanwhile the tailoring is so wonderful and the wool so fine and light it feels like you are walking the streets of Madhattan naked.

You kill me. :D

I thought you would like that. Not really practical, but very fashionable. LOL.

Anyways walking around Madhattan in such fancy luxury is almost like a license to kill.

When I walk the streets people kinda step aside like I'm rich and powerful. Its almost as if I can go up to someone on the street, pull out a gun, and shoot someone right in front of a cop and the cop wouldn't arrest me.

BTW having a little trouble finding the picture of me and Mayor Bloomburg. Anyways he's the shortest billion-air I know. At this gala event filled with suits I was the only guy wearing a Hawian shirt. Anyways good for a laugh.

Cal

Cal, you're the poorest "rich" guy I know... lol. or is it the opposite?

Either way I'm a poser. LOL. Must be left over from the days when I was a performance artist.

Anyways its all part of that luxury lifestyle in Madhattan. If you live in a small apartment there's really no room for junk, so might as well buy only the good stuff, but who else do you know who uses a Louis Vittion bag to carry his Leicas. LOL.

Backstory: I had the honor of being a model, and John is one of 40 Beta testers of this new 8x10 Polaroid film now made by the Impossible Project.

Yep, the 8x10 "Polaroid" is coming back by Impossible. An exhibition of some big name photographers in SoHo opening tomorrow at 6 pm, in case you are interested.

I am also looking for additional model with character as well. Just PM me! Thanks!

Thanks John,

I think I will go tomorrow and check out the show.

Anyways my experience with this project has been very positive. Also John is likely the biggest gear Ho in town. I'm not kidding, he has all the good stuff.

BTW he used a reissue Cooke lens that was deemed Ansel Adams favorite lens. How cool and hard core is that?

Hey Scott... no problems. We're all adults with our own dramas in life. Hope to see you again one of these meet-ups. Different crowd than before.

Damn it all...might not be making it this time out thanks to a schedule foul-up. Will make it next time around!

It was a relatively small meet-up this time, but still a good time. Some prints being passed around and some different cameras that usual too.
