Oh I get it Cal... it's smart to do. I just don't do it and you won't be able to tell with my 58mm and 85mm wide open. I guess I need something 1.2 or faster for this to matter?

Also consider if you get kinda close to your subject, like say a tight head and shoulders shot, DOF gets shallow in an amplified manner.
That focus indicator I find really useful. Also the Autofocus on the 24/1.4 is mighty good. Didn't have to tune it in. The OOF on the 28 is really cool with the lens wide open. Not so progressive as with other lenses but you still get subject isolation. This is a great lens for me.
