Ken Hansen's was the best, and it was a shame when he closed up his Madison Avenue shop. But I've heard he's still doing business out of his apartment on the Upper East Side, and I understand you can see him by appointment.

Ken Hansen is great. He still sells stuff on ebay occasionally. Fair price and great services. People like him are disappearing from the market IMHO.

Agreed. I always had confidence in dealing with him, even at a distance, sight unseen. The Madison Avenue shop was an Alladin's cave of Leica and Rollei in tip-top shape, and was frequented by working professionals, artists and serious amateurs. Since it was on an upper floor of an office building, there was no walk-in traffic -- only people who knew what they were looking for and where to find it with the minimum of friction.

I got my MP from Ken Hansen via eBay a few years back. Great experience.
