Phil,
Part of the excitement of city living. Last year I was targeted by water filed 1 liter container that was thrown from a high floor of a Housing Project. The water filled container was not like a water ballon and would of caused some hurt/damage. It landed about 3 feet away. No one else was around so I definitely was the target.

BTW I remember Woody Allen in a film (Everything You Wanted To Know About Sex) where in a butcher shop he grabs a sting of sausages to defend himself against a large butchers knife. It was a pretty funny sight-gag.
Moral of the story: Don't bring sausages to a knife fight. LOL.

Any camera is a good camera I say. What say you?
Also to honor our friend Joe (Back Alley) we need to consider bags. Since this year we are hyping our gearfest as a "Parade" it is not too far an abstraction to say bags are our "Floats."
I know that the Leitz leather bag I got from Adorama last year will hold two rigged M-bodies if one camera has a small lens. I discovered that this bag was available around the time of the M6 TTL because I found it in a M6TTL operator's manual that one of my salespeople friends gifted me when I first bought my M6.
BTW this leather bag is mucho compact can even hold two Monochroms.

That black MD-2 with the rare black 28/3.5 and Canon 28mm VF'er looks mighty evil. Kinda tiny.
I'll be using the OEM box as a float.
BTW I forgot to mention that the amount of accessories one can use is unlimited. LOL. Just to annoy you.

This is our fifth event dedicated to gear, and this year I invited Hellen Hill to be a judge/co-judge. Hopefully Barrett our usual MC can join in.
I already pledge a roll of Delta 3200 in 135 to Helen as a bribe.
Hmmm... I wonder what our John C. will bring this year. Although he is a Champion who won with a black paint Nikon 2005 SP with 35/1.8 Nikkor, John also knows the agony of defeat. It is a year for the Winter Olympics, but it still is a stretch and still early to make our annual gear competition an Olympic sport.

John,
John C. is a great sport and took many a beating for having gear that creates great envy. In many ways John C. is our purr-ren-ial "underdog." He always captures the brunt of many laughs. John kinda captures the spirit of where we really make fun of ourselves and the RFF culture.
No doubt that John C. has great gear. In kidding around I always say between him and Tung that together they have the entire Leica catalog. How crazy was it that Tung brought a F1.0 Noctilux and a 0.95 Noctilux to a Meet-Up?

Crazy though that the clear aperture distance added between both of those lenses is longer than my fastest, and beloved 85mm lens! Over 100mm of clear aperture. The added surface area of the clear aperture is the size of a coffee cup.

Guys,
I've been using the gym in my building extensively to get in shape for the warmer weather. Been trying to slim down to 147 pounds to get down to my fighting weight ( boxing welterweight) but somehow bulked up into a UFC lightweight (155 pounds).
Somehow I put another inch on my chest. Doing long intervals on an eliptical has been good for my heart and strength. Can't wait till the warmer weather.

Thanks for the heads up. Right now I'm really kinda good with gear. That green chile is mucho good. Good thing is that I can be gready and don't have to share it. I miss the southwest though.

There really are no rules. I made up the rule "No Biting" only because we can get a bit rowdy.
I remember years ago when we had two brand spankin M9's show up, and that was pretty remarkable because the M9 had just kinda been released. Some wise-ass, perhaps me, LOL asked which M9 had the lower serial number. It was rather quickly established which M9 was the earlier version; it was deemed "the vintage M9" and because it was older and rarer it was also deemed "better."
Things were even more silly at the "First Annual Camera Beauty Contest." Towards the end John Chee had this stunning freshly repainted black paint M2 against Damaso's black M6 TTL. Mob control took over. I gave the M2 a demerit for not having a matching black paint Leicavit, and then the mob began to turn against poor John Chee and his otherwise beautiful M2. The repainting was a real pro job, and on the bottom plate was a layer of protective plastic. Damaso is a working photojournalist and he started calling John's wonderful M2 a "Shelf Queen" and pronounced that his M6 was a working camera. When Damaso started challenging John to remove the protective plastic to prove that the M2 was a user it was just too funny. The mob got really rowdy and started chanting "take it off-take it off..." Meanwhile poor-poor John Chee. The agong of defeat began...
In another year we allowed John Chee to be involved with the competition's rules so that perhaps things might get stacked in his favor, but that year he was badly beaten, yet again, by a plain chrome M5, LOL, while he had another stunning camera. I kinda remember John's entre that year was a black paint M6 with a black paint lens.
Generally the February Meet-Up is a bit of a gear swap; an excuse to bring out weird/odd cameras; and otherwise celebrate gear nerdiness.
One year we emphisized a no limit rule on accessories. Christian created a "Frankin-Leica that was truely montourous as a joke. After our meet-up it was acually placed on auction on EBAY.
At one February Meet-Up Carl Merkin physically placed an original black paint M2 with matching black paint Leicavit (called affectionally the Brass Monkey because more than half the paint was worn off) on the floor and stood on the top plate effectively baring his full body weight on the camera.
Anyways it is all fun and lots of laughing as we celebrate gear. I think it was at one February Meet-Up that we had 7 M9's present.
