Street fighting rule number one: never give your opponent an advantage.

Rule number 3: never give an opponent time to regroup.

Rule number 4: be decisive and end the fight quickly.

Rule number 5: make sure your opponent is incapacitated and there is no fight left in him. See rule number 4, 3, and 2.

Most important rule: avoid fights unless absolutely necessary.

I know enough that the Donald is a loser. We will be collateral damage.

Know that he got the popular vote. Know and understand that we here are outnumbered and outgunned. Undoubtedly we are and will be collateral damage. Be safe…

Know when to lay low to stay out of the line of fire.

Actually pretty normal considering your recent prostatectomy - not a trivial procedure, the hit your body takes, absorbs, and the energy needed for rebuilding. And all kinds of mind processing of information, questions, the known and the unknown... activity that happens during recovery. No, not really unusual.

Gold in a frantic move is being transfered from vaults in London to New York in anticipation of tariffs on gold importing.

What does this say about the future of the U.S. Dollar?

Then there is a headline of a great transfer of wealth and assets out of the U.S. Basically those that can and have the means are sheltering elsewhere.

What is coming out is that policies about the Canadian border were already in place to be enacted in December. Pretty much there were no Canadian concessions. The Donald “Blinked,” but then he angered the “Polar Bear.”

A self inflicted wound that will never heal, just bleed…

I say when Canada finds other markets for their oil and lumber, prices here in the U.S. surely will escalate for these comodities. I am also sure that Canadians will do their own version of “No-Buy” but target U.S. imports.

The Orange House gets a lower trade deficit, but as an unintended consequence.

I’m not so sure AI is practical. It uses lots of energy and water that we don’t have.

36.2% of our GDP is government spending and as government gets dismantled our GNP will diminish.

Repression and anger certainly inspires creativity. Some people are wired a certain way to react, and a need to process anger is required to avoid depression and apathy.

In my youth I was a very angry guy, and before I learned to channel my anger I suffered great depressions. Unprocessed anger leads to depression.

So I’m feeling more emotional and perhaps less rational.

Art is a great way to cope. Channeling anger can be a great thing.

Canada is in a great position to sell LNG (Liquid Natural Gas) to Japan. Pretty much there is a competitive advantage in Canada’s favor because shipping is a lot closer from Vancouver to Japan, than from the U.S. Gulf Coast to Japan.

Oh-well, another point of bleeding for the U.S. economy, all over flip-flopping, speaking of which the USPS flip-flopped on stopping shipments from China and Hong Kong. Message here is the U.S. is an unreliable trading partner. Why would you want to build manufacturing here because of un stability, lack of predictable government, and unfavorable laws.

BTW China is deemed unstable, and has experience a flight of capitol and investment. The U.S. is on the same path…

BTW selling LNG to Japan would be a new business for Canada, and Japan is the number 2 importer of LNG after China. This is a mucho big market. The U.S. has a lot to lose here.

Of course Canada selling LNG to Japan will create a shortfall in energy that has to be made up in the U.S., and will cause inflation. Again, 4 out of 5 recessions are caused by energy prices.

Also why would Canada decide to flip-flop and be a nice neighbor? Not in Canada’s best interest, and pretty much I think it is within Canada’s power to eventually eliminate the trade surplus with the U.S. by eventually selling its commodities elsewhere.

The U.S. no longer will be able to milk the cow in its backyard.

So here is a future senario, Canada diverts its energy resources elsewhere. Pretty much serves Canada’s National Interests, and pretty much adds mucho stability to their economy since the U.S. is now a flip-flopper that is a known unreliable trading partner.

Pretty much instead of my money is welcomed elsewhere is literally my resources are welcomed elsewhere. Expect shortages and inflation to get embedded in the U.S.. This is kinda a decisive one-way street. No flip-flopping by the Canadians. They are in Hockey mode understandably, and in this game they will play to win.

Permanent damage: a self-inflicted wound that will fester, never heal, and will continue to bleed.

I see Canada hoarding their hydropower instead of exporting electricity to the U.S. Products like Aluminum that exploit this supply of domestic cheap electricity will no longer benefit the U.S. Pot Ash is another Canadian commodity that has great export demand.

Oil, lumber, and strategic metals are also on that list. Selling abroad of course will cause shortages here in the U.S. and cause inflation. Simple supply imbalance of supply and demand. I say, this will help entrench inflation as a structural manner, and will not involve using tariffs or retaliatory tariffs.

What a huge mistake… the long term consequences and the “strong” dollar, as well as the price of gold ramping up, means that the FED is mucho highly unlikely to be able to lower interest rates because of inflation.

I see no way to mitigate the future inflation. Permanent structural damage has been done. Also inflation will persist for a protracted time: years; decades…

I see a certainty of a prolonged period of inflation. I state my thinking above, and I believe because of Canada’s National Interest, it best serves them to sell their exports elsewhere. A permanent supply chain is likely gone and is imperiled. For Canada it is just business and protecting itself from an unreliable hostile trading partner.

In the end Canada wins because “Time is the best weapon.”

Did you know that male residents of East Harlem have a 8 in 10 chance of getting prostate Cancer. Part of that is the weathering that happens from institutionalized oppression, racism and poverty, but also another contributor could be air quality as it is considered “Asthma Alley.”

We resided in lower East Harlem for over a decade.

Certainly I experienced, racism, poverty, and oppression to include myself in the process that was coined in the black community as “weathering.” Know that Cancer really does not run in my family. I guess I will know more when I get the genetic testing done. My hematologist will be the doctor that prescribes this.

“The Peekskill Riots” reports pretty much a situation of a mass lynching that was condoned by New York government, the State Police, Local Police, and local government. The targets were working class leftists, many Jews, and blacks. The time period was 1949.

Horrors pretty much that recreated what happened in Nazi Germany.

Don’t ever say it can’t happen here, because the lynching, the violence, and the hatred has happened before, and it was condoned by government similar to January 6th.

We already showed great potential for repeating history…

BTW I grew up in an environment where the Chinese were considered the enemy. This hatred is not new to me.

Your previous posts encouraged me to research the Peekskill Riots, one more sordid stain on our nation's history. But what I remember from my reading is that the police forces and the government did not just "condone" the violence, which is to suggest that they turned a blind eye. The police were active participants in it.
I participated in Gay Pride marches in the Seventies where the police were hurling beer bottles at marchers. At the end of one march, I got bashed on a side street, broken ribs, etc. When I tried to file a police report, I was told to "get lost", as I "had it coming".
My point: don't expect the forces of "law and order" to protect the vulnerable. Quite the contrary!

If Canada diverts aluminum and LNG to other nations, what is the chance that Spray Tan will say it is a threat to US national security and interests, then uses the military to halt those exports? Seriously, he's already intimated that he'll annex Canada just because he's a petulant child. If he can remotely provide cause that the US is losing because of his bad decisions, he may simply attack using force.

The U.S. military may not, and I think will not, respond to stupidity from the Spray Tan Orange man. Putting the military in Gaza is another one of his stupid delusions. I don't know the exact make-up of his security council, but there will be generals and admirals participating. They take him for what he is: A grain of salt.

But all of these outrageous threats are distractions, more and more chaos to put into the minds of our vulnerable population (sadly, too many take the bait) and even the media!! All meant to distract from the real aim of Trump and Musk: to take over the government and to form a plutocracy. All their claims are bogus: There is already a government office that weeds out waste, inefficiency and ineffective programs with one exception: the Pentagon. And of course, Trump has little interest in curbing the bloated budgets from private military contractors.

So this mess is happening right now. Write or call your representatives to vote against the unqualified Trump appointees, let anyone worried about deportation know they SHOULD NOT let ICE personnel into their homes or answer any questions without a signed judicial warrant. They have rights that cannot be violated without a court issued, judicial warrant. An ICE warrant is not sufficient to enter a non-pubic dwelling. But who informs the population of this? This should be broadcast on all the networks! It should appear as notices mailed to each residence by community, local, and state leaders.

The lynchers in the Peekskill Riots were kinda supported and protected by the police and government. That is no lie.

My friend Andrew was also pelted by a bottle during a peace protest.

The New York Attorney General was trying to hold the victims of this mass lynching accountable for felony murder charges.

Not good for the U.S., and this move begins a cycle of enduring inflation here in the U.S.

Pretty much this policy of diversifying exports is a “no-brainer.” It serves Canada’s National and best interests.

They also mention cross Provence intergration. This hints at what I suggested where Canadian cheap hydro power is used and exploited by Canada, also as I outlined. Pretty much Canada will do much to exploit and harness this cheap electricity, rather than export it to the U.S.

Oh-well a permanent festering open wound that was self inflicted that will never heal.

Highly doubtful that Canada would invade the U.S., but the U.S. invading Canada Hmmm very insane, but not out of the realm of possibilities.

Remember the U.S. kinda dismantled the WTO. This is a president where the U.S. does things unilaterally.

BTW this dismantling was perform by Trump, and then was enforced and endorsed by Biden by not acknowledging the WTO ruling. Subsequently there are 7 vacant seats that incapacitate the WTO. Lack of U.S. endorsement.

Pretty much a break in the rule of law…

The Orange House could unwind NATO, but would NATO allies come to Canada’s aid if the U.S. was the aggressor?

The Atlantic Ocean is a pretty big moat for European NATO Allies to cross to aid Canada. Realize that NATO was created to really defend Europe, but there is Article 5 to consider.

Would other NATO allies come to aid Canada under Article 5?
