A few folks will show up on Sat. for the Mermaid parade and the best bet is the staging area at Surf Ave and 21st St between 11am and noon. The parade start is 1pm.

But the official June meet-up is Sunday at Puck Fair 1pm, as noted above already.

I'm not going to be able to make it to the parade tomorrow. I thought I could swing it but really should stay on this side of the river for the day.
I'll see y'all on Sunday though!

It was a great shooting event today at Coney Island but I'll not be able to make it tomorrow to Puck Fair. I've just returned from a second visit to the city today/tonight. Saw Stacy Kent at the Birdland. Have fun at the round table.

Shouldn't it be sharper?
Thought that this year's Mermaid Parade was a bit of a snooze. Costumes seemed rather tame compared with those of the past few years, and the cameras-to-tits ratio was vastly skewed to the former. Plus, for the life of me I have no idea why they charged $20 for photographers at the first entrance, when you could walk right in free at the second one. Ah well, have four rolls of Acros drying in the basement now.
And a new favorite shot, from the boardwalk just before things started happening at the staging area.

It was great finally meeting all you guys at pucks Fair, lots of great cameras and
great conversation. Sorry about unofficial camera dunking contest, hope to make
the next meet. I don't know seeing all those cameras makes me want to get
something different now, oh no not the S3 but digital maybe??
