You sound like this gal named "Brooklyn" who is a pro pole dancer who suggested that I become a male pole dancer and take classes at this pole dancing school on 5th Avenue.

I was minding my own bussiness one year at the "Mermaid Parade" when I first met "Brooklyn." She was practicing on a pole dancing float being towed by this guy dressed as a pirate on a bicycle. Out of all the photographers shooting T&A that day, I stood out as the guy with the Rollieflexes. I was "minding my own bussiness" when "Brooklyn" targeted me for a private show.

Without speaking she communicated with me, kinda asking if I was ready, then she jumped up the pole; click-film advance; then she inverted herself; click-film advance; and then she went spead eagle holding the pose. I was really-really close so the pole with her spread legs kinda made a cruxifix in my square frame.

One day I will get these negatives printed and framed together. I have a fourth shot that I would include of this photographer with a telephoto lens on a DSLR eyeing "Brooklyn's" butt and legs in fishnet stockings.

So a year later when I was "minding my own bussiness" I meet "Brooklyn" again and learn her name. That's when she tried to recruit me into pole dancing. I thought about it seriously because of the workout. Anyways this second meeting was at some dance parade that I kinda stumbled into. I ended up getting sucked into "Street Porn" mode again. I was shooting a Mamiya 6 with a 50/4 (28mm FOV) so I shot kinda close. One girl kinda aimed at me and kinda gave me a crouch shot while almost kicking my camera out of my hands.

Anyways I think I have enough work to hang a show called "Street Porn." I don't think of myself as a perv, but consistently crazy things happen to me, when all I'm doing is "minding my own bussiness." LOL.

Glad I was carrying the D3X with 50 "E60" today. This rig is kinda like carrying a fire brick in your right hand as a weapon to mug someone, but it was the perfect tool for the job this morning on my way to work.

My lab is behind Sothebys, the auction house, and almost on the corner of 72d and York is this 10-12 foot white marble statue of this girl wearing a skimpy bikini that is in some contortionist position where here croutch is in the air with her body folded so that her privates are on the same plane as her face facing forward.

Anyways you don't have to be a dirty old man to think about sex, or ask yourself, "Why can't my girlfriend/wife do that?"

What really made for a great 70-80 shot photo session was this guy in a yellow raincoat cleaning and polishing this large scale sculpture to give it a sense of scale. Basically the shot is kinda monotone except for the bright yellow raincoat.

It does not get much better than this. Looks like another shot for my "Street Porn" series.

There is something about the D3s' 12MP sensor for low light and the body design (with built-in grip).

The D3S is about pixel size verses pixel count. Big pixels do high ISO with low noise really-really well.

My D3X has mucho pixels but a very limited ISO range, especially when compared to a D3S which is an exceptional camera for high ISO.

Cal, the prints from your MM9 ... wow! Can't wait for the prints from M246.

I am very pleased with the results from my 3880 rigged with Piezography. I can see needing a 24 inch printer in the future.

I expect the M-246 to have a bigger dynamic range and better/cleaner high ISO than my MM9, but I think there is a big advantage in the MM9 in that it has an extended midrange response.

I'm thinking a M-246 for my 50 Lux ASPH and using my MM9 with my 28 Cron is an optimized pair. The M-246 will handle the added contrast and peakier highlights better than my MM9 I believe, while the 28 Cron will continue to make broad histograms that have mucho mid-range.

KATE MOSS UPDATE: The statue is now placarded with a suggested price of $800K. Surprisingly the sculpture underneath the white finish is bronze. The artist is Marc Quinn. There is now gravel covering the base so it is really easy to see how this would look in my penthouse rooftop garden somewhere downtown.

I wanted to thank you for sharing your experience with stock framing sizes to hang a show. I used your mode of thinking to figure out what whould be required to hang a show of 13x19's in 18x24 stock frame sizes to avoid custom framing.

Anyways the exercise of figuring all this out was very helpful in planning.

Yes! That's exactly why.

I let my budget dictate what I could afford, which then set the frame + print size. It's pretty easy when that decision is already made.

No show booked yet. What you saw of my work was just 13x19 work prints with a tiny border. My exhibition prints will be a full 13x19 printed on 17x19 to have generous boarders. I talked with some friends who advised me to avoid any dry mounting, and they advised me to "float" a print with a generous border behind a matte for archival framing. The stock 18x24 frames work out to allow a small white border on the print and a second large border on the matte.

At this point I'm still printing work prints and editing. So far I have a folio of street shots and another of urban landscape.
