New York NYC September 2012 Meet-up?

I might be able to meet up on the 30th. I'll be visiting friends in Brooklyn from 9/28 - 10/2.

Wow! I really want to join this Meet-Up if I can get my driving license before that day. Want to do street photography again in NYC in the near future.

Kevin,

Its been almost every month for over 3 years. Also much better to take mass transportation. One of our regulars, Arri, made the mistake of driving in and wasted a lot of time trying to find parking. Not worth the hassle: take a train or bus.

Awesome.

Hey Cal,

That's great! Seems we can easily meet in someday. : )

About the transportation,I am in New Jersey and it will cost more than 4hours to take bus to NYC. So,driving car is the best way to travel NYC at this time. Wish I can find a better way.

Kevin,

Perhaps hook up with Arri (LordNikon) and take the Path train. At least this solves the headache of finding parking in downtown Madhattan.

From what I gleaned in another/seperate thread: you already own a 35/1.8 Nikkor in LTM, but its a clean version. Is this true?

Cal,

Thanks for your advice! Hopes that work. : )

Indeed,I already have a Nikkor 35 1.8 in Ltm. But I am a little bit confused that what is the clean version?

As usual I'm in a state of confusion. I thought you mentioned that you wanted another 35/1.8 in LTM to use as a user because you already have a rather minty copy.

Dunstan, a New York Meet-Up regular, started a thread titled 10x10 Japanese books that involves a pop-up book event sponsored by ICP. It happens to be convenient to arrange another New York Shoot-Out on Saturday September 29th; where we Meet-Up at the Court Square Dinner in LIC at 10:00; go shooting for 5 hours in LIC; and go to the pop-up book event when it opens at 3 PM in LIC.

Check out Dunstan's thread for more info. Also know that I will be at the Court Square Dinner at 9:00 for breakfast if anyone wants to join me.

The September Meet-Up is the next day on Sunday. Let's make the most of shooting opportunities before winter is upon us. Also know that this style of shooting is more or less urban landscape, but its mostly an industrial area.

Cool!! Got to stock up on Acros!!

P,

I get paid tomorrow and need a big dose of 120 pronto. Also now love the look of night shooting slow speed color slides at night with mega flash.

Cal

Cal I was at Adorama yesterday. They are out of TriX (2 weeks now) and are running low on acros. Go grab some pronto. I've been hoarding some Acros away for my trip to Sri Lanka early next year to stop my wallet from getting totally drained in one go. I could loan you some boxes if you run out.

P,

I'm down to my last three rolls of Arcos in 120 with no Tri-X, but I have about 200 rolls of Arista Premium (Tri-X) in 135. Lately I've been mostly shooting two Leicas: one with a 28 Cron; and a second with a 50 Lux.

Thanks for the offer. I'll think I'll load up on Arcos tomorrow. Perhaps a hundred rolls.

Always wise to have some reserve stockpiled. Next will be a dose of Tri-X.

Cal

Also Arri, do you want me to bring my Noct-Nikkor if the meet-up is booked for the 30th? Also know that I have Beattie Intenscreen installed. Although brighter, not the most contrast as a stock Nikon K screen.

Cal
heck yea! That should be fun with my new focus screen :)
