Kombiplan tanks are fine...slow fill is irrelevant if you avoid fast developers (ie avoid developers that act in less than 5 minutes)...it's a good idea to do a brief pre-soak and inversion before the developer to eliminate possibility of air bubbles on film. I think they really are close to perfect for daylight use. The only concern I have is that the film holder is a complex plastic casting and may be fragile...I'm cautious with mine. Also, it takes practice to load one of these things in a changing bag, so if you want to do that you probably want to intentionally waste a couple of sheets of film for learning purposes. The people who made their livings with these cameras were very ingenious, used to working out of broom closets and crawl spaces.... they were raised up in big smelly darkrooms where there were ash trays, bottles of booze, and handguns. 😀
