Need more info on the L->F mount adapter.

The net doesn't have much info on these.
So is that possible for Leica LTM lenses?
Or some sort modification . . . before using it on the Nikon?
Also is just good for macro work? or working normal?

How about a Leitz Elmarit 90 "mounted" backward onto a Canon 1Ds? It even takes pictures (call it a digital Thambar
)
I really have a fixation about this combo, but with Elmarit facing the right way: nobody makes long lenses anymore. So far, I'm 0-4 getting the head to stick onto my Contax bellows with strapping tape. There is certainly a solution from the wild world of Visoflex, but I really don't want to go there (might never come back). OTZFO, anyone?
