I'm relieved that sufficient people seem to like these portraits. As stated by Vince a series of hands in the lap/flag in the background studies would have slipped under the radar without a hiccup and what the photographer has done for me is give me images that make me wonder about that person in the shot and why they look the way they do.
Thank god someone in an influential position was artistically brave enough to think outside the square!
