For me it has been the W/NW "Minimal" thread that paulfish started. That thread has led me to better seeing and to, I think, better photos. By getting me to carefully consider what I'm invluding in the frame as well as what I can exclude. This has definitely made my composition better.
Thanks, Paul, for statting that one and thanks to all the contributors for providing so many good examples to learn from!

I think more about members who have influenced my approach to photography rather than threads ... and for me Pitxu comes to mind.

I cant say.

I feel a strong kinship here more than anything.

Influence (if any) to my photography probably comes from whatever I see around me when I pick up a camera.

But if I have to name names of photogs I really like on this forum, Well, Too many.

While I have been Attracted to Many a Thread here on RFf
I will have to AGREE with Keith
It's really been various Members here and their Work
That have turned my Head,
Stopped me in my Tracks and got MY Curiosity Aroused
Be it with a Lens, a Camera, a Style

I must agree some members here got my attention, the lady who posted before me is one and SimonSawSunlight is the other I can first think of

...on this forum I think the "classifieds" section has consumed so much time, thinking and energy and has restricted the creative process and dedication of actually shooting instead of obtaining "better" equipment. On a positive note, there are a few photographers on here that I really like reading and am inspired by their photographs (emraphoto, simonsawlight, frank petronio, just to name a few).

Show Me Your TLR

2 years ago, I never even considered a TLR, I thought it was too old timey
I started reading rangefinderforum.com, because I was seeking ultimate uncompromised image quality, from cameras that were discreet and were a step back from the consant upgrade cycle that digital photography caused me to build up in my mind. Initially I read these forums on what type of camera would give me "Leica" quality images. After going through 2 Leica's, a Contax G, and finally settling on Mamiya rangefinders I thought I had discovered as much as I needed to about rangefinders.

Then I started to read about TLR's. An anachronism of a camera that I wasn't initially interested in, however the more I read about them, the more curious I was about these reflex-less/mirror-box-less cameras, that required a slow, deliberate type of shooting.

As a result my images have become less snapshot-y and more pensive. It's an evolution, for sure, The last year I spent most of my time reading threads about how to shoot a TLR in the absence of a meter (Sunny 16), how to hold it, how to get used to the backwards image of a TLR, or the niceties of a particular Rolleiflex Planar lens, and more. Enough about the gear, my images that come from my TLR are distinctive.

I love shooting with my Autocord.

thanks, Rob.

rather than a single thread, it is the gallery itself that has most influenced the way i see. if i have to pick a single thread, i think it might be the petronious thread on a year with his little scale focus rollei.

For me, it's been the regular posters to the Gallery.

One in particular... who has a fascination with waves has supported, helped, inspired and pushed me along.

Another has shown me how to look for the Light.

Others have shown me how to frame an interesting shot out of what seems a mediocre subject and there are others that have shown me how to seek out the little gems in everyday life.

It's the people here who have had the biggest influence on my photography.

Posters: OurManInTangier, SimonSawSunlight, Lem Chanyungco, Frank Petronio, Alex Krasotkin, Sanders McNew, in no particular order.

Thread: the 'Show your TLR' thread. Particularly the Rolleiflex threads. I've been shooting Rolleiflexes for 9 months now and it has helped me achieve high image quality and is also establishing me as a traditional photographer at events etc, which in the near future hopefully get me some paid gigs

I also love the 'Show Me Your TLR'. Within a few days reading that thread, I found myself winning an auction for a Rolleicord! Now I'm just waiting for the mail, and hope my shots will turn 'less snapshot-y' :D
Many thanks to all great members here, among others are Keith, Raid, and Johan Kuiper being familiar names on threads I visit.

That would be any thread I've read that actually caused me to change the way I see, develop, print, the chemistry I now use, the tools I have...I started using a SS developing tank because of RFF...never would have done that...
Forced myself to learn/use a hand-held light meter...something I've always wanted to do and feel comfortable/confident doing...
The Gallery has taught me to see what you all see...how I can learn from what another does or does not do...look at images that I would never shoot and appreciate them none the less...
Also the threads where we all get along, then we don't...but come back later and do it all over again...

It has been the cumulative contributions by so many people here that have influenced me over the past years. I think that the love of photography that I sense from many people here is the strongest influence on my photography. It is as simple as that we love what we are doing. It is not specific to which camera and which lens.
