OFF TOPIC - Zenit accs shoe ?

Look I love my rangefinders - but my Zenit 1 is but a Zorki with a very dark and grainy see through lense ... but I seem to remember that there was screw on accesory shoe to accept a flash - or a meter .
Can anyone help ?
Or can't you come out of the closet ?

{ Though why I am even THINKING about actually USING such an awkward camera , the Goddess only knows - my Kiev is dee'ficult enough ! Maybe it's not only the viewfinder that is dim ! }
