oh crap! another first world problem!

are you thinking prices will drop or that there will be sales-a-plenty?

Apple does not do much in the way of sales I'm afraid, but their refurb deals and be pretty good, and to all intents and purposes, are new computers.

Stock prices have nothing to do with profits or success, just the mood of the market, best ignored unless you're looking at investing.

Apple stock is down by 40 percent. The competition is doing pretty good. If I were you, I'd look not at the past but at the future.

Here is a factual conparision about laptop and desktop computers sales for Apple and it's competitors.

http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2013/04/23/mac_vs_pc_big_gain_in_market_share_for_apple.html

"We learned earlier in April that PC sales suffered a 14 percent year-on-year decline in units shipped. Today, Apple announced a measely 2 percent decline in units shipped paired with a 7.3 percent increase in revenues.
This turns out to be basically irrelevant to Apple surprising markets with strong earnings. The growth that mattered came from the iPad and the iPhone continues to be the company's revenue workhorse. But as I said this morning, the relative health of the Mac business is interesting and certainly seems like a huge thumbs down for Windows 8."

If Apples laptop and desktop competitors are doing "pretty good", how would you describe Apple's laptop and desktop performance? What about their future now?
