which store has the demo? I'm in E town often and I need to grope one
do i need the dslr gear...maybe.
i am finding it harder to focus manually these days.
that is part of the attraction of the fuji, the af...and it feels like a rangefinder in my hand.
good luck with the rd1 and 35...
why, oh for pete's sake why did i ask to see that demo x-pro1 sitting on the shelf behind bob, the salesmen...
it feels so nice in my hand, fits perfectly in fact...and so light yet solid...fools the senses for a second or so...
now i need to start saving for one...must have it eventually.
not prepared to sell anything at the moment as i am so satisfied with both my rf and dslr kits...not wanting to change anything...just add to it.
oh why...

That gas syndrome seems all too omnipresent here, and makes this such a dangerous forum 🙂 Until I realized I'd rather make a nice trip with my existing gear than spend that money on something basically covered already. Vietnam, here we come 🙂 No Fujiland for me. I'm just not rich enough for constant upgrades.
Joe, might be interested to read my experience of using the xp1:

Sorry to have to let the R-D1 go, but am very happy with the xp1.
Please could anyone post links to nice images taken with the X1-Pro?
Thanksalot.

Very Homeric. Straight out of the Odyssey. Someone needs to tie poor Joe to the mast to keep the sweetly singing sirens from luring him into more trouble. Of course, there's always the chance that you get more pangs of GAS and tire of this, moving on to something else. We'll all be watching and waiting. Meanwhile, how about posting some pix??? From any of your gear.
Okay, I've come up with an anti-GAS medication (anti-FLATuLENT???) that will work for Joe if not for others here.
How about if you make a deal with yourself. "I won't buy the Fuji until I first find the perfect bag." Since the perfect bag doesn't exist, you'll be in limbo indefinitely. Right? No, of course, not. I tried. At least, the lack of funds burning a hole in your pocket will slow you down a little on this one.
I get the eyes problem because I notice the same thing but it tends to affect me more in low light ... in decent light a rangefinder is still very quick for me. I don't see you posting a lot of images here that are shot in what I'd call the extremes of low light so I don't see that the RD-1 would be a problem. Unless there are things about your vision I don't know.
Just trying to save you from yourself here Joe! 😛
