Since we are in Costa Rica above the Ecuator, the sun moves from East to West on a Southerly angle.

The following picture was made at 1:00 PM pointing towards the Southeast. The sun was probably on the right hand side pointing towards the camera. My camera is a mid 1960's Mamiya Standard 23.

The following picture shows a leak in the lower right hand side corner, which backwards means the upper left hand side of the frame. Which coincides with the position of the viewfinder window!

Could there be a leak of light from the rangefinder assembly coming in from the viewfinder?
I had a nasty leak that allowed some light to damage pictures before. I had the tech repair the lens bayonet release button and solved the problems by leaving a black masking tape on top of the button before that!

I hope you can chip in!

Regards,

I would vote more the upper left of the seal on the removable back causing the light leak. I got a kit of foam from someone in Japan, it was cheap and easy to use, and mailed direct for Japan. Put your black tape there.

I had the backs repaired with that same foam from Japan...

Were you able to see the picture? I can't post them directly on the forum.
