the canon 35/2 arrived today!
that was fast by previously established joe standards.

and it looks near new! not a mark on it! and amazingly, it's smaller than the cv 35/2.5 lens!!

the gearhead in me is jumping for joy!!

and the shooter is itchin' to head out.

for the moment...i am in photo nirvana.

joe

:D :D :p :D :D

Congratulations Joe! It would be interesting to see 3 shots of the same subject with your 3 different 35mm lenses, (or are there more?)

i have that jupiter for the kiev.
haven't tried it yet.

i just need another for the 7.
maybe that 35/3.2 on ebay...

joe

Congrats. My Canon 50/1.8 arrived too. In decent shape. I will get it off for a CLA soon and I will have a nice user on my hands.

I am looking forward to some reports about your 35. It sounds like a real champion.

On second thought, I don't think I'll be able to make it to your place this weekend. The girlfriend........uh, want's her car washed. Yeah, that's it!

what's the need for the cla rover?
haze?

i hope to use the 35 as soon as possible.
the prediction is for re-newed cold and snow flurries.
i may have to start some still life projects if spring refuses to come.

joe

Congratulations, joe!

And, if the weather is too unkind for outdoors shooting, how about revisiting old negatives or doing a bit of still lifes at home?

I'm really glad you got two 35s to play with. And, of course, also GREEN with envy! :D

Well I'm even GREENER with envy mainly because I was second in line !!! :bang: :D :bang:

Two P's and one 7, the photoequip grip coming, the 35/2 in your hands, bulk loader, film scanner... you're on a roll now !

But tell me tell me, how do you like the 35/2 in operation, handling, appearance, how does it look on the p, smell, taste I want everything ! :p

it smells great!

the aperture ring is small and will take some time to get used to.
focus is short & smooth.
i was surprised but the black lens looks great on the p. i thought not being chrome might be a fashion issue for me.
i'll take a pic tonite, just for you oscar!

yes, the grip is in the mail and i plan on ordering a second for the other p at the end of the month.
eric emailed me yesterday to say he only has 7 left.

and i love the scanner. i really feel like i belong to the digital age now.

joe

the used one is black i think and the new one will be chrome, i hope.

oscar, you're a great guy and deserve only the best treatment.

joe

Those are 2 absolutely beautiful hunks of metal you have there.

Hmmmmmm how many Russians and Yashica's would make one of those :)

Joe, I didn't know that you were a collector...

i collect only bessas.

would it be unseemly to go out shooting with 2 ps and two 35s?

i don't think i need any other lenses. those i'll collect...

Russ,

A new supply of Scotch and Guiness will be arriving with the wife this evening.
Now, that I no longer smoke :(, I'll be able to enjoy the full benefit of the fluids.

I think it may rain a bit this weekend. Bad weather for car washing. I'm on my way!

Russ

Oh... my heart be still...

I seriously need to get something (more) soon in order to fill this gap in my soul...

Gorgeous !!!
