I still get a sinking feeling whenever I remove the bottom plate from the M8 without rewinding the film!
 
Jaap,

"They" say it takes roughly two weeks to turn an automatic, repetitive sequence into what we call a habit. I wonder if it takes that long to unlearn a habit? Anyway, your post gave me a chuckle.

I *still* always index the aperture ring on Nikkors when I mount them, and I haven't had an IC body in twenty years!

Yeah, it's odd... but don't you notice that Leica moved the release from one end to the other... I think they took the film and digital M baseplate design very seriously to move the release.

Just as long as you don't dunk the SD card in a tank full of D76, you'll be alright. ;)
