Pro for the new Ultron: no distortion, smaller. Con: one stop difference.

For film, I would probably prefer your lens, Peter. On the 240, speed is less important, IMO.

Thanks, Roland. Yes, I agree, the 1.2/35 shows a bit of distortion and is hefty but so am I ;-)

I suggest it as a source of examples of the old ltm Ultron. (great Planar 50 ZM "examples" too from Jim)

I, like you, ride and I go camping a lot to the the Boundary Canoe Area here in Minnesota, but unlike you, I am shy about posting my pics. The wobble, ominous sounding. Is there a prophylactic servicing for the wobble? My Ultron needs collimation - probably because the previous owner repaired the wobble and put it back together incorrectly.

The M Ultron is about as flare resistant than any lens I have ever used. Even bright neon tubing holds up well! This is a shot from Ford's Dearborn Village.
Leica M2. M-Ultron 35mm f1.7, TriX in Td 201 developer.
