Thanks for all the comments! Regarding editing down the set, I'll give it a week and revisit my choices again. I guess I'm thinking the set is somewhere in between art photos and a documentary set, so for the documentary purpose, I wanted all that I included, but I can see that for an "art" set that it would be stronger with a different selection... have to rethink about my final intent again -- being forced to think is always a good thing! Regarding shooting the guy, I wouldn't have felt comfortable doing so because he was suspisous of me and he wanted his space. Also, I have an attachment to the set and if I would have included photos of him, it would have more revolved around how you identitified with him. "People photos" can be so strong because of how we respond to the people photographed. It seems to anchor photos too much for my intentions, but occasionally I connect and photograph people.
