Wouldn't this be the ultimate micro4/3 walk about? The Oly with IS and the fast Pany lens would provide great low light coverage and the 40mm through put would be a great standard lens. eh?

It would be pretty sweet, IMO. I still have a mental block about the VF thing, but not having tried it as is, or with the EVF, I can't really judge, can I?

Yep. This is the combo for sure. With the optional EVF in one pocket, a life-size R3A/RD-1 style 40mm finder in the other pocket, the 14mm f2.8 lens in the other other pocket, and the 45mm f2.8 in the other other other pocket.
But in the meantime I've just shot my first roll through a Contax TVS, and that's one mean street shooting machine right there!

I use the Pen 1 all the time with the 17mm.
I just got the 20mm and it ain't come off yet.
For low light, can't be beat. The FOV is a little more than I like but still, it ain't hard to take. The 17 & 20 and I'm home.

Personally, I still need something a bit wider, such as Panasonic's promised 12mm/f2.8. Until then, though, I can make do with my CV12mm (when stopped down to F8, smeared corners are a non-issue 90-95% of the time). Although it's a good bit heavier than the Panasonic 20mm and as a result, the camera doesn't balance quite as well in my hand, it's barely a few mm deeper, which makes for a nice, compact package. ISO 200, f8, IS, and be there!

The EP-1 and 20 is a nice kit. It is very light. I bought Y strap and can just put the camera on like a piece of clothing. It makes having a camera with me very easy. When the little 12 arrives that will another and maybe a final addition for this walk around kit.

Rover,
I tried the Y strap but the cameras kept swinging around...I felt very uncomfortable.
Maybe at 60, I'm still to active on the street....
when I grow up, I'll slow down somewhat and try it again.....

I have had it this fall, so I have only had it under a sports coat or other light jacket. That keeps it from getting in the way some I guess. The other thing I have the Y on the left lug and a wrist strap hanging from the right. This gives me something to grab and hold onto. Maybe this tail helps too. I came to this arrangement mostly because some times I figure I will want to take the camera off the Y and would still need something secure the camera.

If money wasn't a problem now, I'd already pre-ordered E-P2.

There are some great deals out there for the Pen 1.
My friend just got a body in MINT condition for $435.00 USD.
I hope he hates it so I can get it from him....
