Hi,

It is a Olympus DC. I have one. It is a nice camera. You will need a battery adapter for it to function. In fact at the moment, from the photograph you posted, it won`t even work. Why? The self-timer is cocked. If the self-timer is cocked, and there is no battery, or there is a dead battery in the cahmber, the camera, will not release the shutter. Until a working battery is inserted the camera you posted is a good as rotten fish to eat.

BTW I paid 15$. Is it worth more? I do not know. It is up to you. But is looks to be in rough shape. I would not go higher than 15$. If it had a case, lens cap, look better I would go as high as 45USD$.

Thank guys. That is what I thought more or less too. I appreciate it. I'll take a closer look and let you know. BTW, what battery can be used these days?

Hi,

Check out this link to test photos and conclusions on the DC http://www.rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42327

The camera originally designed for mercury-based batteries. There are replacements, such as the V625U and LR9. You can buy an adapter to use button-cell SR43 batteries. I bought an adapter from a local camerashop. I got it cheap 9USD$ because I am a friend of the owner. They usually go for 19USD$,

Good luck.

Hi,

I have one of this cameras, i got it from my dad, he bought it a long time ago, but she's not working, I'm trying to find someplace to fix it, but I can't find it.

Do you know any repair shop for this cameras? I prefer in Europe.

I really would love to fixe, this is an excellent camera

Thanks everyone

I'm now the proud owner of a refurbed DC. Put a battery in and all working fine. Bit of a point and shoot but it looks superb and it's an Olympus from the golden age. Like it lots. Paid £40 + postage for the stats lovers amongst you.
