Olympus Mju - yours for $400!

A while back I found a champagne one in a junk bin at a Thrift Store with a battery in it. It worked fine. It was scuffed but heck,
the battery alone was worth more than the $2 I paid for it.

Price also depends on location. EU, the craze is already subsiding. I have a very nice Mju-I (the 3.5 version) that I've been trying to trade for a some 120 or preferably 220 film but no luck so far. The Mju sits idle in a box full of P&S cameras, I'm not shooting small format much anymore.

I am not sure... I had one broken mju 1, put that on ebay "for spares/repair" and it was immediately purchased (UK buyer). 20£ for non-working camera...

Ack!

I still own (from new) the Olympus Stylus Infinity (mju I). I run a roll through it every year. Mine is beat up but still works perfectly and its lens it great (maybe greatest):

John it is nice to see your results and I dug up some searching about the Mju I.
I got a couple of these from a thrift store for less than $10 and both seem to work though one has a weak battery (both batts have a due date of 2012). That was a fantastic find as I moved towns and didn't carry 35mm.

Funny that film costs more than the camera. I'm thinking but lazy to sell one of these to cover film costs.

Sharpness wise I don't know. It seems curious that it's "just" a triplet lens, perhaps I should be cautious and develop one instead of keep shooting although the machine seems to work perfectly.

Aside of the always flash on, I feel they are slightly clunky. Mju II I have no idea but Value wise $400 might get you a dozen to 20 Nikon N90 bodies off KEH. 😛

Nice! A 400 dollar light leak. I’ve been needing one of those.

**yes bitter, every mju or mju ii I’ve had has had the dreaded light leak. My stylus zooms on the other hand seem just fine.

Trouble with MJU II is you never know when they’re going to crap out. That’s not so painful if you paid $10-20 but I would be awfully pissed if I paid $400

Those guys paying that are fools asking for disappointment.
