OM 85/2 wide open

Almost hate to do this because the internet seems very good at driving prices up to ridiculous heights....

But I might be in the market for one of these soon (seems like a perfect focal length for some things and I don't have one) so lets see your shots with the OM85/2 wide open.

P.s. mods don't know if this belongs in the unRF's area or the W/NW are, I won't be offended if you relocate this one.

Mine is the early version and has a pretty ordinary front element but still performs very well.

The later versions in pristine condition seem to be quite expensive ... but I'm happy enough with what I have not to bother. Not hellishly sharp wide open but good enough IMO.

These photos were taken at F2 or F2.8. The lens is remarkable.

I never use mine wide open. Why bother, it has no depth of field, not even enough to keep the front of your subject's nose in focus. I use it at f4, 5.6, or 8 a lot and it still gives great soft backgrounds and is very sharp.
