What are your top-5 Zuiko OM lenses? (Sorry if this is mentioned somewhere in the 99 pages of this thread! I couldn’t find it )
My top 5: 21mm 3.5, 24mm 2.8, 35mm 2.0, 50mm 1.4 "G", 50mm 1.2.
I love the picture I get with these. I don't know if technically they are the top 5, but I think they are very good, because I can make pictures as I like/love.
In a special way I love the G.Zuiko 50mm 1.4 for B/W. It's special. Mine has fungus and I'm looking for a clean one... it renders differently.
The 21mm 3.5 so small and so good! It's an incredible lens!
And the 24mm 2.8 is also a very good lens. What I like less is it distorsion.
I also love the 35mm 2.0. It's special. But I think it's really good at short and medium distances ( from minimun to 2-3m). After that, I don't get what I want. Maybe I do something wrong.
Loving my Zuiko OM lenses...

The ones I use most are the 50's: 1.8 and 1.4; the 35/2.8; the 24/2.8; and the zoom 35-70/3.5-4.5.
I have been eyeing up the 35/2.8 or 35/2. Leaning 2.8 due to size. Maybe the 2 later...
I’ll check out the 35-70 too. That’s always a nice zoom range. Is it compact?

Wow, the 21/3.5 does look awesome.
Do you find the 35/2 compact enough?

Yes, very compact! It's a pleasure to use it on the OM-1n.

Helen, I didn't know you had an OM-1! As you do with the Leicas, with the OM-1 you also create very special photos!

This a beautiful picture Xabier - I have a love/hate relationship with the 35f/2 but I am surprised to see how well kentemere pushes to 3200 ! What developer did you use?

Hi Pan,
I had the same feeling: love/hate. Sometimes I had incredible portraits, sometimes boring/plane portraits.
So, I have discovered there is a parameter that is important: the distance to the subject. This lens really shones when distance is 1,5m or less. I'm talking for portraits/pictures I make at F2.0.
One example:

This picture I made at F2.0 and I needed to work it at PS to get it, but I don't like it too much. And it is harder to focus well at this distance. I think if I would make it with my M5 and the VM35mm 1.7 Ultron (a lens I really love in all situations) the picture would have another "soul". I think so.
Another parameter for this lens: orange filter. I have begun to use it and I like a lot the contrast and tones I get from this combo.
About Kentmere400 shot at 3200ASA: it has been the first time I've tried it and I think I must get better it.
I look for a developing process in the web and I found one. So I tried it:
Developer: Kodak HC110 dilution 1+63 and 40 minutes. One minute shake it softly (I shake it 20 times in one minute). After each 9-10minute shake it softly again. But my two films have been under developed, so the next time I will develop it 60 minutes. If you want I will share my experience.
Warmest regards,
Xabier.
