I made my own. For those with omega d3 and d4 enlargers. First you need Aluminum stock 1/16 thick 3 inches wide at least 32 inches long I bought 36 in need a little extra to make the adjusters anyhow.
You will need to start with another focal length as template mark and remove the adjuster. The top back bottom and holes are consistent.
I traced and used a drill press 3/8 holes in exact locations rough cut out template with a jig saw. Placed dowel pins in 3/8 holes to hold in position Hand filed to match top and bottom back. Made adjusters to match except I went a number #6 tap so larger screws thats what I had. The slot was made with a 3/16 drill bit cut across with a file.
At this point you should be able to fit into the enlarger. With Help I used my son I would mark the back of the wheel while he confirmed focus with grain focuser. I added about 3/16 in to my marks and rough cut out. The rest of the material was removed by hand file. I spent about an hour tell I was comfortable with the focus.
Nice! I enjoy photographic metal cutting projects like this. My workshop is out in my garage so I will wait until it warms up this spring.

I have a nice D2 in my darkroom that needs a bit of work to renovate. I even bought that laser alignment tool! 🙂
I want to modify the Omegalite head to take LEDs, those work with VC papers. I have a lot of EKTALURE salon paper in my freezer to go through. The Omegalite likes Ektalure and other graded papers.
