Ok... I have to say those look horrible. But, if they're working, can't say the prices are too bad (if you go in for the FSU compacts). Just have to rip off all the tat.

For sale we have several Soviet beauties. They are sure to add flare to any camera collection. Don't get caught with them though or you'll be thrown to the wolves like scrap fish. The motherland doesn't look kindly on flashy pre-Cold War memorabilia.

I too like the Red October Fed, I think it would go well with some FSU army surplus clothing as it's snowing here at the moment those fur hats might be good comrade!

They do not look any worse than some of the "special edition" Leicas. remember the Anton Bruckner special, or the gold plates Sultan of Brunai M's. My favorite was always "The Year of the Rooster" - a KFC Leica! At least the russian ones are cheap!

His stuff doesn't even look well done.
The leatherette on that looks like it was cut with a pair of dull scissors and pasted on with hopes and dreams. Then some lapel pins were deconstructed and glued on haphazardly.
I wonder how un-molested cameras would sell alongside these...there seems to be a bit of price gouging on etsy for FSU stuff, and his prices are really quite reasonable.

It was because of all the kitschy crap that started springing up that I quit lurking around Etsy. Too many folks "repurposing" cameras to find any really nice stuff. What a waste of good hardware.

It does seem to be making him money and he seems to be having fun with it, however. Whatever pays the bills.
I'm kind of suspicious of his feedback and amount of sales; it seems almost as if he's padding it. From my own (limited) experience with feedback and my Esty store, I find the people who take time to actually leave feedback don't simply post a smiley or similar like on eBay; they seem to spend a little time actually writing something up, because they care. Generally a different breed of buyer than on eBay.

i like the bright red lenscap.
something like that probably would've saved me a few delightful pictures of the back of my lenscap, since i forget to take it off with some regularity :-/.
