On burning negatives

Correct me if I am wrong, but no legal proceedings have been opened regarding the copyright? So far it is just armchair discussion by "experts?"

Is there any indication that Illinois would move on its own without a claim by heirs? Won't this likely just stay in limbo forever, until the copyright runs out?

Correct, it is in the discussion stages... and non of "Experts" have the same opinions of the copyright and ownership laws involved according to the link article by Ron.

But keeping it in limbo until the copyright runs out (no CR exists on any of her work with LOC).. can mean that her work stays unpublished for decades!

Are we glad that Vivian did not burn her negatives !!!
