I propose a one year, one camera, NO lens challenge.
Only the purest of the pure may follow me.
I´ve done that in 2005/2006; nearly one year only using selfmade pinhole cameras. The f295 forum is a great place for pinholers!

DNG,
Darn it! I miss Bubba. I'm glad you are putting the M5 to such good use. Bigfoot needs to catch up. When the Kodachrome is all gone!

Snow Ahhhhhh
I have a few I just finished up today...
A house I have promising to photograph in the winter for a few years. But, the road is 2 lane with hardly any way to park 100% on the easement. I did it anyway, and said "Screw It. they can drive around the truck".
Well. these where taken with my CV 28mm f/1.9 ASPH Ultron... So I can't use them in my 1 camera, 1 lens dairy.... Oh well.
Enjoy anyway
Acros 100 @ 64 souped in Xtol Stock for ISO 100
An in camera Vertical View
And this private barn

I'm a little ashamed that I haven't participated at all. I offloaded all of my rangefinder gear, but still have my Minolta X700 and SRT-101. I suppose I could use those if I wanted. Sigh...
Would you guys shun me if I used a Holga?

You know it shames me when I see something like this thread. One camera, one lens, wow! I remember when that was all I had. Now people seem to think it is a virtue. Let's pretend we are poor. Why not one camera, one lens, one year, barefoot, photographing only the homeless, with ashes in our hair?
I am, of course, 99% joking, but it's that 1% that bothers me. As a learning experience, I would think a month would be long enough, beyond that it does smack of ashes in our hair.

I had one before but my house burned down back in April of last year and I lost about 40 cameras. It was low on my replacement list but I came across one the other day in mint condition for about $25 which is 1/3 of what they cost at Urban Outfitters (which will surely be the demise of analog and "Lomo" photography). So I couldn't resist. That and I have about 50 rolls of film in the freezer or more.
I'll post some images when I get some.

Dear diary...
Dear diary...
Since I've just begun my 40th year on this life, I've decided to start a serious photographic project.
Until now, I've always been a "casual" shooter, although I've almost shot the same "subjects" I've never started a serious project.
But now, my first 40 years deserve something more serious. So There's the idea. 40 years in 40mm. I do not care if it is a new one or not. It's mine.
One camera: my M2, one lens: my summicron 40c. 11 rolls of Kodak 400cn (that's 400 shots, more or less). Living in Rome gives me a huge source of inspiration and I would like to capture some good pictures of places and people living here.
I'll pick up 40 shots and I'll make a photo book with them.
I'd like so much if you RFF members could help me in the selection of these pics.
Of course I won't flood the forum with all the 400 pics. Maybe 60-80 of them, for your consideration.
What do you think?
Regards, D.

is there not pills for this GAS

i don't know if i can last but its worth a try
i am basically taking the challenge so i don't buy anymore bloody camera's.
it is really better to not have that itch, i somehow could always justify a new camera purchase but this has to stop, keh, kijiji and the camera store are all to blame!!!!
basically one camera one lens (or a different lens per month) and whatever film i want for one year to stop me from buying more cameras for my closet museum.
time to make this camera look like Garry Winogrands
also for the past few years i have been a film to digital scan guy, well not anymore i have built a full lab in my bathroom which is neat.
