Yesterday I wanted a Rolleiflex, then my friend saw this and got it for me. A nice gift for my birthday, so I hope it works well.

Yes, hang on to that friend! And the camera. Don't see many of those with the EP sticker inside, and it's a very clean example. If it does need some service (such as a sticky shutter), you shouldn't have much trouble finding a repair person in Germany.

Well the camera is going back home to Germany. The sticky shutter might be made better if you load and fire it at different speeds 100 times or so. Shoot a test roll of film at different speeds of the same subject and see how it looks -- it might be good to go. Get a lens hood -- bay iii

I picked up the camera at custom today. She is not a shelf queen for sure, but still a beauty, with pristine glass. Not only the shutter is not sticky, but also correct! Well, quite a surprise. Meter works well too, but I have a handheld meter. The only flaw is aperture ring is a bit hard to turn from 8 to 22, but I can live with it.

Because waiting for a camera is not an easy feeling, I borrowed a 2.8C, shot some films with it and got the negative scan today. Well, just one word: addictive!

My daughter gave me a Kodak Vigilant 620 folder for my birthday Sunday, she found it at a flea market.

Unfortunately, I won't be shooting with it immediately, as the bellows is full of cracks and pin holes, but it is very cool and was a nice thought. Maybe I can fix it. ;-(

Looks like a good deal. I am sure you will find someone in Berlin who could service it and possibly put a brighter screen in. Shoot a roll or two and if you like the camera service it and get a metal lens shade. It should serve you well - this is possibly the highest quality Rolleiflex model ever made.
