One Roll Challenge!

ONE ROLL CHALLENGE!

What is the challenge?
Post your photos that best capture the essence and character of your city or town. If you do not live in an urban area, select one nearest you.

Purpose:
The challenge is a non-competitive exercise to test yourself in photographing an area familiar to you in a way that the complete body of work tells a story of a geographical area through its people, places and activities.

Rules:
You may begin shooting now, subject to the following:
Shoot only ONE ROLL of 120 film in any format in ONE DAY and post on or before April 28, 2017.
Film may be color, black and white, or slide film.
Only one submittal per person.:)

What camera to use:
Any camera capable of shooting 120 film.

Where to Post:
Please post your images only to this thread.
Captions and/or short descriptions are preferred.
Once your images are posted, discussions may begin.

Dave, I don't think I'll get the opportunity to play, but if I did the roll would be a strange mixture of beaches, shopping malls and endless traffic jams!

Ah... We know better than that :) , your "strange mixture" is always a recipe for success, such as the end of summer series. Excellent captures of a special place, special time and done by a special photographer.

I understand what you say, and I hope over the next few weeks, you may just find a little (maybe a lot) of personal time for yourself. I am trying to do the same.

As a side note, I find this challenge, as intended, rather difficult to get my mind around, so, I will just go out and have fun on a walkabout one sunny morning/evening. Just going to let it flow, handheld. LOL.

Lynn, maybe you can play with us in the future "One Roll Challenge II"!!!:)
 
Are we to post every image from the roll? Either way I like this idea. Should make it a monthly thing.
 
Only just making my first foray into medium format. Waiting for a test roll on a Balda Baldix but got a bargain Super Baldax arriving tomorrow. If it needs work and I get the work done in time, I'll take a roll of Ilford Delta through my city and submit =)

Great idea to put us to the test!

Maybe we can just leave it up to the individual doing the posting. I am open to it.:eek:

So this is the first 1/4 roll of Acros in my Fujica GL690 in my city of Vancouver . Peter

Just saw the post, so I'm making up my mind as to using the Rolleiflex, or the Rapid Omega to finish up sooner. Or I could put a roll in the Buster Brown No3 and really get done early.

No, I have some Pan-F that will go perfect with the Agfa Clack.

Who will be the next person to post?:p

Personally, I am bored with our little town. BTDT too much. I think I will pick something really different... with family history. Picked up a single roll of Ektar 100 yesterday just for this challenge so I need to do it justice...
