Use a light tripod with it if the camera is too heavy. It's really not that heavy.

Tele-Rolleiflex is built on the same platform as the 2.8F, it is tight for portrait shot as there is limited focus travel for the Sonnar 135/4 lenses. Using a rolleinar 0.35, which is specifically built for Tele-Rolleiflex, helps to shoot tight portrait shot.

They also made a Rollei Wide with a 55mm Zeiss lens back in the sixties.

Your photos are gorgeous, and having such cute kids doesn't hurt. I've been doing a bunch of photos of my son lately, but in 35mm. Seeing your Rollei shots makes me think of doing some portraits with my Hassy and the 150.

There was a time when all I wanted was to have three TLR cameras for a complete set to take on trips: Wide Rollei, any 2.8 model, Tele Rollei. I need to get a Wide Rollei one day.

I have two of these cameras -- they are
fantastic for portraiture. If you actually
hold one in your hand, you'll find that F+H
anticipated the changed center of gravity
caused by the longer lens standards --
they lengthened the back release tab and
sculpted it so you can balance the camera
on your index finger when you shoot it
handheld. The redesign is ingenious and
makes handholding the camera a breeze.
Here are some portraits I shot handheld
with the Tele:
And you can get even closer by mounting a
stock Bay III Rolleinar 1 on top of that 0.35
Tele Rolleinar, for shots like this (handheld):
These are brilliant cameras if you can find one.

Thank you, Steve. Considering how many photos I have posted of my children, such a comment really is encouraging. I guess, when you use a gorgeous camera such as the Tele Rolleiflex, you just take more care in how to use the camera for better images.

Lovely daughters having a great time! You sure had yours with the tele rollei! I wish I could grab one one day too. Keep the beach trips kids love 'em as much as we do!

Just for the sake of completeness: Tele and Wide Rolleiflexes are E-models with EVS and un-coupled exposure meter (if fittet) not F models, which couple the exposure meter to the shutter and aperture dials.
