One step closer to NO cameras...

Well, OK.. no camera's in the conventional sense of the word. Do any of the camera's shown here shoot RAW? How long before they do?

Or go birding with your Mammoth lens and your iPhone...here:

The first one has been out almost as long as the iPhone itself. And come to think of it I remember seeing hacks for how to get your SLR lenses to work with your iPhone as well back in 2008.

Also I believe there are apps available that allow you to shoot "RAW"

I don't know what to say or think.
It really (and only) makes me realize that things change.

My grand-parents used to say "in my time blabla". Now it's my turn to say "in my time blabla".

. . . . . a step to far.

It will not be long before they have the telephone as part of the camera and not the other way around.

Samsung already has a camera running Android. Surely, it's just a matter of the next model or two until the phone feature is added. Although, you might look a bit silly holding a camera to your head to make a call. You would want the lens to retract, so you don't get ear wax all over the lens.

Actually, it could go much farther than that....

We may not be that far away from the time when there is an SD card port in either one of your temples. You get to choose.

The Borg approaches.:D

I have an original iPhone 3GS, bottom charger - I know it's a PITA. I always have it in my right hand. I have a tremor but I can usually find a wall to lean it and my wrist against. Some would say the lack of scale focus and preset exposure capacity is limiting, along with the viewing screen going dark unexpectedly, but I am doing a great personal project at the moment of street life with an emphasis on the moment missed. The gritty low res insight into the back of people's heads (quite a lot of my subjects turned away or even walked off) gives a poignancy to my pictures I was seldom able to achieve with something so intrusive and obvious as an actual camera. I only shoot jpeg, do all my own image importing, and I never ever crop.

It's just like when m4/3 came out, it was because everyone wanted smaller cameras. Then they all go running around snapping up the old glass, and adding adapters to mount these big lenses on their nice little m4/3 camera.

But the site does have a lot of useful, and giftful things I'll be getting later. Love that film "egg carton".

My friends always show me these things, and I just yawn.

I dont know what it is, but using a dedicated camera achieves far more for me than using some of these silly products. I sometimes feel people are just trying to capitalize on the aftermarket for iphones.
