From my second roll of home-developed film.

I have posted here a couple of times and gotten some great responses to questions about developing and scanning MF film.

So I will report that I did go ahead and buy the Epson v700 scanner (GT-X900 here in Japan) and am delighted with the results so far. Haven't printed bigger than 14" on a side, but the output looks great. I do think a betterscanning.com film holder may be in my near future. As everyone says, the Epson holder doesn't do too well holding film flat.

Developing my second roll of film went much better after I learned here to get the paper off before trying to wind onto the reel. I think I am going to be OK with the stainless steel tank/reel after all.

And nothing would be complete without a beginner's error. On the second roll I had a close call when I poured developer in a second time instead of fixer....
Don't ask. But I caught it in time. Didn't ruin the roll, but did some interesting things in terms of the tonality. It also taught me (maybe this was not a good thing to learn) that this process is a bit more forgiving than I thought at first.

In any case, some of the fruits of these labors are now up in my RFFgallery if you
are interested. The Mamiya 6 b/w shots there are all from these first two rolls of Neopan 100 and 400.
