Not only that, but you live in Queensland! And as all Aussies know, Queensland is one hour and 20 years behind the rest of the country. So film still rules! :D

I voted for a digital but I'd be really happy also with a film one.
The problem would be making the digital as easy and reliable as the film which still remains the benchmark.
 
I prefer FILM but shoot Digital
now am returning to film
but Both can be Truly SUPERB
its all how you see,btransform & process

I'd go for an RF that has interchangeable film and digital backs, isn't any larger than a Bessa-R, and costs about the same..

I just got back from a photo charter, and I note that I used one roll of film and a 130+ digital shots. When asked, I still say I prefer film, but i can see the writing on the wall.
 
I would go for the digital version of an M camera, but it will never be produced or offered. It would have aperture priority auto or manual exposure, selective metering area, manual lenses and focusing, shutter speed dial, the best jpeg recording without any raw format, a means of selecting ASA/ISO and exposure compensation. basic information and remaining exposures would appear in the viewfinder window. There would be no LCD panels and no screen to chimp. There would be none of the bells and whistles included just because it was easy and feasible to do so.

Other parameters that are not changed too often could be accessed through the USB camera/computer interface. The sensor would be FF and shake off the dust with each on and off cycle.

Many will not like my camera. If I don't like the white balance I change it in PS but some worry a lot about it. Some think raw is the only way but I can get away with third generation jpegs and satisfy my requirements.

That's about it. As long as I'm dreaming, make the price about $1000.
 
I voted Digital FF RF as I already have a FF DSLR and would like to have that choice in a RF. Simple, choice is good and not having one is not.

If the results are the same : digital for the convenience.
But, the digital one doesn't yet exists. It will be film for the time being.
 
Film as I already have it in my M6 Classic. No intention of doing digital as I prefer the feel of film and I am truely in love with the whole darkroom process.
 
This is a weird question, and bends the term 'want'. I already 'have' a ff film rf, so I don't 'want' one - I already have it. There is no ff digital rf, so I can't want one in any way that could result in satisfying that desire. So then there is no category for me to vote on. Sorry. When it comes out, send me the digital though.
 
Well heck, if this poll takes place in a fantasy world where a digital full frame RF exists that takes images that look exactly like film, then I'm just guessing that in that fantasy world, film is also readily available everywhere so I'm gonna have to go with film.
 
In my purist way I'd take the film version if I could only have one.

If a digi RF came out, though, using a sensor like the D700's or D3's then I might be tempted to have both.
