oops, i did it again!

relax, and be happy u can afford it and enjoy it

You CAN enjoy it, right? right?
:)
What sense does it make to buy anything and then get buyers remorse.

yes!
i can enjoy it, the cle is a joy to use and as for the 90, it is so small i could carry it 'just in case'.

btw, the lens was mailed out today.

As the guy looking through the plant used to say, "Very interesting, but foolish". I did exactly the same thing when I got my CLE years ago and searched until I found a good 90 and bought it.

I NEVER put it on the camera. And now I've sold the CLE and still have the 90.

Will we never learn, or grow up, or something?

gerry, maybe sell the 90 if you don't use it.
they are a great little lens.

and i hope i never really grow up...:)

As one poster said, you are a completist. There's an underlying reason for being one of those. You may be operating on the assumption that when you sell the CLE (as you are subconsciously planning at this very moment) you have the misquided thought that you will get more money for a complete kit.

Nothing could be further from the truth (other than truly collectable cameras). There are usually more people looking for pieces than complete kits. I make quite a bit of money buying kits and parting them out.

Good luck on the sale of your CLE.

BTW... I have never used a short tele, so I know there is no reason to own one except for resale.:D

i always try to leave my options open but i doubt that i would sell this cle outfit, not after suffering seller's remorse the last time.

this time, i have 3 complete but different kits that i could be very happy using any one of as a stand alone kit.

i did it again, too:) I bought a 21 skopar from a member here.
It arrived yesterday. (From Singapore...and it was mailed out only on tuesday!! strange, for a 16$ plain airmail)
I am curious how will i like it. All my previous wide experience is with slr's, the widest i had other than slr was the 35mm on the hexar af. I'm not a real fan of external viewfinders...
by the way how wide is the edge of the vf window on an M2?approximately? 28mm? 24?

congrats on the 21.
i am liking mine more and more tho i still need lots of practice with it.
get an r4 and no need for external finder...;)

I've been angry to myself after making impulse buy of M2 body, because I already have M3. have to part from the one I like less. but even that makes me angry, because swapping trading and posting stuff around is not cheap neither... oh well.

maybe keep both...one for your 35mm lens and one for your 50.
and if you are missing one of those lenses then this is your chance to get it too!

perhaps, least I don't have any complaints of M3 (while M2 hasn't arrived yet) so I might regret parting from it afterwards. but ! definitely not a single M-body for for ... err, not this year at least

A centipede was happy quite,
Until a frog in fun said,
"Pray, which leg comes after which?"
This raised her mind to such a pitch,
She lay distracted in the ditch
Considering how to run.

Sometimes I'm like that with my various (all partial) kits - so when I went out shooting last weekend, I took eight (8!) (eight with an exclamation, not eight factorial - even I don't own that many) cameras....

the 90 has arrived and damned if it isn't a lnib lens!

i think this is my 4th 90/4 rokkor and i hope it to be my last. barring some unforseen financial calamity i do not intend on selling (or buying) anything for awhile.

yeah, i know...:)

Joe, I'd make some wise guy comment about you not buying anything for a while if I could get the laughter tears ouy of my eyes.

You and I are two of a kind, my friend.

i am sorta hoping that i can concentrate on shooting more and buying less, at least for the summer.
my brick of xp2 arrived yesterday as well and i have a ton of film in the fridge so i should be set for summer.

about the cle kit, the whole thing, body, 3 lenses, extra batteries and film fits into the tiny domke 5xa bag. i may have to take a trip just so i can travel light;)

When I completed my kit, years ago, I searched for and found, the leather fitted case. Beautiful thing but totally impractical. Don't sweat the batteries, the CLE gets great mileage.

Enjoy the system, I still regret selling mine. The substitute is a Pentax ZX-5n with the 40 pancake. The lens isn't close to the Rokkor but it fits in a cargo pocket and the autofocus is a boon for these old eyes. Actually, eye. One of them doesn't work at all. I do keep looking at Contax G2 ads, though.
