OOPS ! - Mistaken identity ''Leica-Zorki- Fed ?

I bought two black Leica copies from moscowphoto, 'cos then I could not afford the real thing ... since then, i have aquired a Leica II ... and others ...
but the tribute '' Leicas '' wer a lot rougher than a superb, smooth , restored , Zorki S ''Olympic '' Leica [ ? ] pretender from moscow ... so i knew that they could be much ''happier '' , so they have gone to Oleg for TLC.
Seems that my two Zorkis are not Zorkis at all , but Feds .
luckily, the Zorki S's are unmistakeable !
I guess this could not happen in any other universe than the ex USSR !!!
i love it !!!

Yeah, that happens. So they are FED.1s? I don't think you'll be disappointed. Folks around here seem to like the Ones, both FED & Zorki. My Zorki.1s are my hands-down fav FSUs.

Curiously , having played with my Zorki S's , Leica- styled , of course , I seem drawn back to the original Leica II and it's direct Russian cousins ... even over the Leica IIIc .
... so many imaginative pretenders to gather in - and so little chance of them actully working !

Have you been here, Dee? Scroll down a bit or search for "Russian" or "Fake". Master Stephen (as we now have to call him🙂 ) has some wonderful examples of the art of Leica-ising Feds and/or Zorkis. Sadly the counterfeiting industry is mostly geared towards the nazi memorabilia market.
